SUPERCHARGER 50, 75 & 90 Petrol Charger

1. Connect the booster leads to the SUPERCHARGER unit FIRST then to the battery terminals RED + POSITIVE & BLACK – NEGATIVE *. Switch the power switch to ON and you will see the voltmeter illuminate (50 AMP ONLY) or the RED charging light illuminate ( 95 AMP ) this checks the internal fuse etc are working correctly, SWITCH THE POWER SWITCH BACK TO THE OFF POSITION.

2. Set the engine switch to ON, switch on the fuel and close the choke on the engine, adjust the engine throttle to approximately 1/4 throttle.

3. Ensure the power switch on the control box is set to OFF.

4. Firmly and sharply pull the starter handle and allow the engine to run for a few seconds before returning the choke position to the open position.

5. Once running smoothly adjust the revs to approximately 2/3rds then switch the power switch to ON. Note the voltmeter illumination should extinguish (50 amp) or

the red charger lamp extinguish on the 95 amp.

6. The voltmeter needle should move (50 amp only) and the engine revs drop as the alternator produces power and comes under load.

7. Adjust the engine throttle to reduce the revs to a position that the engine operates smoothly and as quietly as possible.

8. The SUPERCHARGER is now charging your battery, the SUPERCHARGER will monitor your battery condition and put in the maximum number of amps that your battery requires.

9. When finished switch off, disconnect the leads and put SUPERCHARGER away for next time.

How to use SUPERCHARGER 50, 75 & 90 Dual Fuel Charger

Ensure the petrol tap is turned to the off position (if there is petrol in the carburettor run the unit with the tap off to empty the carburettor bowl). When the carburettor is empty connect the inlet rubber hose to an appropriate gas cylinder regulator or use the relevant fitting to connect on to the gas BBQ point on many motorhomes, caravans and boats (not supplied).

Do not use the choke when using LPG, ensure it is in the open position. Turn on the gas ensuring there are no naked flames in the vicinity, check all hoses are gas tight, switch on the engine start switch.

Depress the gas plunger located on the rear of the gas regulator (the large round unit mounted on the rear of SUPERCHARGER) for 1-2 seconds and listen for a hiss. Adjust the engine revs to approximately 1/3 and start as normal.

Do not use the engine ON / OFF switch to stop the engine, switch off the gas supply to drain the pipes of gas to stop the engine.
